Lee Egbert (Murray State, 1963, BME; Illinois, 1965, MME; Kentucky, 1974,
DMA) has served at Colorado State University since 1987 as Director of
Choral Activities. He conducted University and Chamber Singers, taught
undergraduate and graduate Choral Conducting and Literature. There he
also served as Musical Director of the Renaissance Madrigal Dinner,
Men’s/Women’s Choir Festivals, and co-host of All-State Choir. His
university and civic choirs toured at home, in addition to 21 performing
tours in the UK, and throughout Western, Central, and Eastern Europe.
While at Colorado State his choirs performed frequently at both the
Colorado CMEA convention and All-State Choir.He conducted the Arvada Center Chorale for 10 years, and currently is in his seventh year as Musical Director/Conductor/founder of Denver’s (Arvada) Alpine Chorale. Joint and shared performances with the Denver Chamber Orchestra, Denver Symphony, Littleton Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Boulder Brass and Aries Quintet, Alpine Chamber Players and Colorado State University Singers, Colorado Chorale, Columbine Chorale, area high schools, and others indicate wide participation of choral performance in metropolitan Denver. Egbert has served frequently as guest conductor and adjudicator in more than 25 states, South America, and conducts regularly in Carnegie Hall’s Mid-America series. He has devoted some 25 years as director of church music in Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, and Colorado. His publishing activities include survey and critical articles, several choral arrangements, and critical performing editions of the motets of Jacob Handl. He conducted/co-produced the CDs: Christmas at CSU, Vol. IV (1989), Fanfares and Carols (1995), An Alpine Christmas (1998), and Alpine Collection (2003). He is member of professional choral organizations including American Choral Directors, Music Educators National Conference, and Chorus America. Assistant Director
John Miller has been a Vocal Music Teacher at Alameda High School since
1992. He holds a degree in Music Education from the University of
Northern Colorado. He has taught music at the Elementary, Middle School,
and High School levels, and for many years directed a Church
Choir.Mr. Miller has performed with a barbershop quartet, The Grand Staff, in Disney World, and with Opera Colorado in their premier season. At Alameda High School he produces the annual musical, and oversees the production of four regular choir concerts and the Mainstage Cabaret. Accompanist
Mandy Bowmar received her doctorate in Piano Pedagogy from the
University of Colorado at Boulder. She is currently the Musical Director
at St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisville, Colorado. She has
accompanied vocalists and instrumentalists throughout the state.She also teaches in her studio at home as well as at Dawson School in Louisville. Chorale Board
