He conducted the Arvada Center Chorale for 10 years, and currently is in his seventh year as Musical Director/Conductor/founder of Denver’s (Arvada) Alpine Chorale. Joint and shared performances with the Denver Chamber Orchestra, Denver Symphony, Littleton Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Boulder Brass and Aries Quintet, Alpine Chamber Players and Colorado State University Singers, Colorado Chorale, Columbine Chorale, area high schools, and others indicate wide participation of choral performance in metropolitan Denver. Egbert has served frequently as guest conductor and adjudicator in more than 25 states, South America, and conducts regularly in Carnegie Hall’s Mid-America series. He has devoted some 25 years as director of church music in Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, and Colorado. His publishing activities include survey and critical articles, several choral arrangements, and critical performing editions of the motets of Jacob Handl.
