Auditions for the 2011-2012 Concert season will be held Sunday January 8th, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Arvada.
Auditions consist of:
- Vocalizing throughout your range for basic warm-up, starting mid-range extending to lower and upper notes
- Aural recall of basic two-to four-note melodic sequences
- Singing My Country ‘Tis of Thee melody (words provided) in several keys for tone, quality, pitch accuracy
- Exhibiting basic diatonic (normal vocalization) sight-reading
- Further vocalization for extended range and quality specific to your part range
- Demonstrate both legato (smooth and connected) and non-legato (staccato, separated, accented) singing.
