Dr. Lee Egbert
Conductor and Musical Director 
Lee Egbert (Murray State, Illinois, and Kentucky, DMA 1974) served at Colorado State University (1987-2005) as Director of Choral Activities. There he conducted the Chamber Singers, the University Singers, and served as director of Graduate Choral Conducting program. He also served as Director of CSU’s Renaissance Madrigal Dinner, Men/Women’s Choral Festivals, and co-host of Colorado All-State Choir. His choirs have toured both home and abroad including the United Kingdom and throughout Europe.
He conducted the Arvada Center Chorale for ten years and has served as Conductor/Musical Director/founder of the Alpine Chorale since 1998. Joint or shared performances include Denver Chamber Orchestra, the Denver Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Littleton Symphony Orchestra, Boulder Brass, Denver Brass, Aries Quintet, CSU Singers, Colorado and Columbine Chorales plus out-of-state and area high schools. Dr. Egbert continues to serve as guest conductor and adjudicator in numerous states plus South America and the Mid-America’s Carnegie Hall series. He has devoted some twenty-five years to church music. His publishing activities include biographical, survey, and critical articles (composers), numerous arrangements and critical performing editions of Jacob Handl.
He has conducted/co-produced the CDs: Christmas at CSU (Vol. IV, 1989), Fanfares and Carols (1995, Alpine Chorale and Boulder Brass); and Alpine Collection (Alpine Chorale, 2003). He is a member of several professional choral organizations including American Choral Directors, Music Educators National Conference and Chorus America.
